Crimson File 001: A Note On Good Behavior

Apparently, I have a reputation.

Unfair.

I don’t cause trouble. I simply notice opportunities other people are too polite to take advantage of.

There’s a difference.

Kimberkin calls it mischief.

I call it initiative.

For example, if someone leaves their phone unattended, am I supposed to change their wallpaper?

No.

But did they specifically tell me not to?

Also no.

See? Opportunity.

The Ruler would probably say rules aren’t supposed to list every single thing you’re not allowed to do.

That sounds like a flaw in the rules.

And before anyone starts pointing fingers, I would like it officially noted that being near an incident does not mean I caused the incident.

Sometimes I was just there.

Sometimes I had an idea.

Sometimes Kimberkin really should learn to stop listening to me.

Anyway, here’s what I’ve learned:

Good behavior is mostly knowing where the line is.

Excellent behavior is knowing exactly how close you can stand to it.

Behave yourselves.

Or don’t.
